direvent software package provides monitors events in the file system directories, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install direvent
direvent is installed in your system.
Make ensure the direvent package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep direvent *
You will get with direvent package name, version, architecture and description in a table
